Dr. Jerry Spivak

Dr. Jerry Spivak (Johns Hopkins Medicine, Baltimore, MD) serves as Emeritus Professor Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Spivak’s research and clinical interests are focused on chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms, polycythemia vera, idiopathic myelofibrosis, essential thrombocytosis, hypereosinophilia, stocytosis, and erythrocytosis and erythropoietin physiology. He has served as a member and director on multiple boards, such as the International Society of Hematology, and has been published in over 230 scientific and clinical journals. He is the recipient of multiple awards, including a Research Career Development Award and a Merit Award from the National Institute of Health.
