Comparing Chemotherapies Phase-III randomized, controlled study comparing the survival of patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma treated with Thymitaq to patients treated with doxorubicin. Sponsor: Eximias Pharmaceutical Corporation Principal Investigator: Dr. Scott Wadler 0702-332
Thalidomide for Chemoembolization NCI 99: A phase-II trial of chronic thalidomide administration in patients undergoing chemoembolization for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Chemoembolization is a treatment to block blood circulation to liver tumors while infusing anti-cancer drugs (in this trial doxorubicin) directly to the tumors. The study tests whether administration of oral thalidomide before and after chemoembolization leads to improved patient outcomes. Consortium study: NYU-99-37 (open), Mt. Sinai (open), Weill Cornell (open) Sponsor: National Cancer Institute 0702-36
