Advanced Stomach Cancer
This trial evaluates the combination of PS-341 and irinotecan (CPT-11) in advanced cancer of the stomach and lower esophagus. PS-341 is a new antitumor agent that engenders programmed cell death (apoptosis) in cancer cells by interfering with their ability to degrade intracellular proteins.
