CR&T Remembers Keith Muhleman
Rev. Dr. Keith Muhleman, age 67, died peacefully at home in Newburgh, NY on January 8, 2015. Keith is survived by his wife, Judy, daughters Heidi Mackey and Heather Jenkins both of New York City as well as his mother, one sister, two brothers and three grandchildren.
Keith was born on March 12, 1947 in Martins Ferry, OH and grew up in Wheeling, WV. He met his wife, Judy while attending West Virginia Wesleyan College. They married in 1969. He then graduated from Claremont School of Theology with a Doctorate of Ministry in 1980.
After moving to Charleston, WV, Keith began working for the United Methodist Church as a local pastor. He continued his work with the church as Director of Communications Ministry at the Wisconsin Conference in Madison, WI and then as Director of Television and Telecommunications at United Methodist Communications in Nashville, TN. Keith then served as Associate General Secretary at the Board of Global Ministries in New York, NY. He developed a passion for fundraising and honed his craft at the Diocese of the Armenian Church, the Peale Center for Christian Living and Cancer Research & Treatment Fund in New York City. He most recently was Executive Director of the United Methodist Frontier Foundation, where he raised millions for the continuation of the church through stewardship.
Keith touched thousands of lives as a father figure, brother, counselor, friend and teacher. He will continue to teach as his body has been donated to Weill Cornell Medical College for study related to pancreatic cancer.
